The purpose of this course is to give you enough basic information on reading radiographs that you will be able to understand what your veterinarian is seeing and describing. The advantages as well as limitations will be thoroughly discussed. We will cover the standard views taken of each area, and when/why other views are taken. The radiographic anatomy section of each week will orient you so that you can translate what is seen on the film to its location inside the horse. You will learn how to take a systematic approach to evaluating an X-ray, learn first what is normal, then what changes you will see with various problems.
